Large International Law Firm

Provided telecommunications sourcing services to this international law firm (one of the top six in the UK), which has some 2000 partners and staff around the world. This firm had been using an international Frame Relay network supplier to provide their corporate network in Europe, Asia and the USA. The network was over 6 years old, and was unreliable with little or no back-up. It was also very congested because of the inability to increase the bandwidth due to technology limitations. MarTel Associates Ltd were called in to run their sourcing initiative to upgrade their old technology network to a fully managed state-of-the-art MPLS network. Our procurement techniques resulted in a 42% deflation in price from the initial bid. Although the new MPLS network costs about twice as much as the old Frame Relay network, it has over 10 times the bandwidth and provides significantly improved performance with full resiliency. The MPLS network implementation positions this firm with a technology platform that will enable them to make further savings in the areas of IP telephony and desk-top video applications. It also gives them state-of-the-art technology that equals or exceeds that of their main competitors.

Large USA Multi-National Conglomerate

Provided Telecommunications' Sourcing Services to this $130 billion per annum company. This included running their sourcing initiative to replace their multiple European Corporate Data Frame Relay and Leased Circuit Networks (with little or no back-up) by a dual-supplier ATM Pan-European Network in 30 countries. Our procurement techniques resulted in a reduction in costs from $12.5 million per annum to $4.5 million per annum - a saving of 64% with an increase of 3 times the bandwidth and with full resiliency.


Pan-European/Asian Network Integration & Management Company

Provided strategic sales and business development direction consultancy for this €500 million per annum pan-European and Asian Network Management and Integration Services company. This included providing sales strategy and tactics to penetrate some large multi-national companies. The Managing Director of MarTel Associates Ltd also served for a number of years as a non-executive director with this company.
